May 11: Papermaking

May 12, 2013 § 1 Comment

Apart from having fun wrapping yet another birthday  gift in butcher paper and then decorating it,

we had a papermaking party last night: two kids and two moms. Because I make paper so infrequently, I never know how it’s going to come out. This time the kids added some dandelion leaves, which I was skeptical about at first, but the paper turned out great. And the kids had a blast! I bought my papermaking supplies from Oakmother on Etsy. I don’t know if she is still there, but if she is, do check her out! Papermaking is awesome!

(The first picture is of wet paper; the second is of the paper in the morning, all dry and ready for use.)
