March 16: attractive food and origami

Still in Portland, spending the day at Powells bookstore and at eating establishments.
At Powells, I got some origami books including the Origami Handbook:
from which I got to make two very fun pieces:
blinking eyes and kissing lips.
As for foods, a lot of sugar was eaten, at least by the male side of the family.
Both look better than they taste.
And finally a snapshot from the handmade ice cream revolution:
Colors matter to me, especially in the March Northwest when the sky is grey and the trees are still leafless. So here’s to pink ice cream shops.
