January 17: Some jellies and a turtle

The most beautiful creatures of the sea, in my opinion:
I learned today, in the Monterrey Aquarium, where these photos were made, and where we keep returning each time we are on the CA coast, that jellies thrive where there is pollution and other species are dying out. I guess if it comes down to one type of beings in the ocean, it may as well be jellies, hypnotizing and mesmerizing to watch.
D. loves sea turtles, and I made a nice shot of one:
The visit to the aquarium was another reminder of how fragile life on Earth is, as if I needed one. As sea turtles get caught in shrimp fishing nets, fish swallow plastic bags thinking they are jellies, and jellies spread where other species used to live, I suppose all one can do is love the beauty one sees as best as one can.
