December 9: A portrait of a child

December 10, 2012 § Leave a comment

After three excellent weekends spent with friends and family, it is time to rest and go within, as one should in wintertime. In the spirit of taking it easy, J. and I spent the late afternoon organizing his Lego minifigure collection, which may be marginally creative, but not worthy of a blog post. We have grand plans for tomorrow, but until then my contribution to the blog are two blurry pensive portraits of this incredibly complex, sometimes infuriating, always well-loved child. They seem like faithful representations of his personality (although they look the way they do because I still haven’t mastered the manual settings on my camera — but maybe that’s not important).
