October 5: Button doll

All the years of buying potentially useless craft supplies have paid off. Tonight I used 50+ buttons from my large and hitherto seldom used button collection to make a button doll. It was supposed to look like this:

but it came out looking like this:


I suppose it wasn’t bad for the first try. And it was very fun to make. Unless I hear otherwise, I think all my friends with children will be getting one this December, assuming I buy more buttons of course. The older child in my house thought that the doll was great and even insisted on posing with it between watching two episodes of Clone Wars.
