October 2: Glitter cards

October 3, 2012 § Leave a comment

Thank you, Martha Stewart. I mean, I never thought that I would actually be checking out her craft encyclopedia from the library and, even worse, loving it!  Today’s project is just the beginning, I am afraid.

I have five October birthday cards to make. (If you are one of my October-birthday friends and relations, do not look at the picture below. It may be of your card, and then you won’t be surprised when it arrives.) Number one is a glitter card, made with the help of cookie cutters I have had since I was four, some white glue, and glitter. Simple, yet so satisfying, especially the part where glitter sticks to your fingers and desk.

I realize that this is not the best card for mailing. I think I will cover it with tissue paper before putting it into the envelope.
