September 16: Pictures of the fair

September 17, 2012 § Leave a comment

The Puyallup Fair is a big deal in Western Washington. The nice thing about it is that it attracts all kinds of people. Our favorite part is the “hobby hall” where you will find displays of things that people made or collected. The collections are probably the most interesting:  it is fascinating what people collect. Today we saw someone’s collection of about 100 Starbucks cards. Someone else had a whole lot of Jack Daniels bottles.

My creativity for today, then, was to document others’ creativity. It was hard because I was also carrying a baby in a carrier, facing outward. It was hard to focus the camera, so I got a lot of blurred shots.  Here are some that turned out okay:

farmhouse

camels

flying monkeys

Monkees hand puppet

old-fashioned sewing supplies

vegetable animals

My self-proclaimed “Legoist” got a craftsmanship award for one of his Lego creations, which added to the family’s creative score for the day.
