September 1: Signs

September 2, 2012 § 1 Comment

I don’t know about you, but my family spends a lot of time on the floor. You should also know that a copper smelter plant operated in Tacoma for over 100 years, leaving us with a fine deposit of lead and arsenic in the soil. Put the two together, and add the fact that we have a small baby, and you understand our desire to request kindly that visitors take their shoes off before entering our house. Because it is more fun and also more likely to yield results, I created (with J’s, albeit minimal, help) pretty signs to put on our back door,

and the front door.

Now I suppose we need to invest in comfy slippers for guests!
